This is a wonky dream I had several months ago. W00t.

The Wonky Dream

The Setting: Somewhere in some snowy mountains, a nice big flat area with a small house, bordered by rocky mountainside directly behind 'n several yards to the left with open space in between, trees in front bordering a dropoff several yards away, right side open to the air, with a windy not-too-treacherous road going down the mountain. The road is fine as long as it's taken slowly. DO NOT slide off the flat very fast, you'll miss the road entirely and fly out to hit the bottom of the ravine below -- death is imminent.

The Characters: Max, Brandon, a random climber guy whose exact purpose I forget

The Villains: Catherine Zeta-Jones look-alike, Whoopi Goldberg look-alike, some guy who's apparently Whoopi's boyfriend

The Dream: (as near as I can remember)

Max is out walking in the snow towards the rocky wall on the left side of the flat. He's just chilling; nothing's been going on today. Suddenly there's a shout from somewhere above on the outcrop, and gunfire rings out. Max screams and hits the snow as machine gun fire sprays around him. It stops as suddenly as it starts. Max gets back up, confused and frightened, and makes a mad dash for the house. The flat's never seemed so long before.

The gunfire starts again. At the same time, Brandon comes out of the house, wondering what the hell's going on. He's heard the firing, and as soon as he sees the snow spraying up behind Max as the bullets hit ever closer, he freaks and dashes out to meet him halfway. He tackles him into the snow, covering the boy's body with his own and praying they don't get hit.

When the firing stops again, Brandon quickly yanks Max to his feet and drags him towards the house. He has no clue what's going on, but he knows if they can just get into the house they'll be ok. They're not even halfway across the flat before the firing starts again and they have to hit the snow. This time when it stops Brandon can hear voices from soemwhere up the ravine, in the direction the firing came from. The echo makes things confusing, but he's pretty sure he can hear at least two voices. Filing this info away, he pulls Max to his feet again to make another dash for the house.

The run, get fired at, hit the snow, run sequence goes about three more times, as it's a big long flat. Running on snow is hard, which is why it takes so long. After the third time, they're nearly at the house, but Brandon's afraid they won't be able to get inside quickly enough as the shooting starts again. He gets a last-ditch idea; instead of hitting the snow again he shoves Max down and slings him by the arm in the direction of the porch. The snow is slick enough that Max slides straight under the porch (which is somehow too thick to shoot through) and slips against the house with a painful thud. He stays there, trembling, wondering why Brandon isn't there with him.

A few seconds later, Brandon dives under the porch and crawls over to hug and otherwise comfort his panicked boyfriend.

"Y'ok?" he asks. "Ya weren't hit, were ya?"

Max shakes his head; he can barely breathe, much less speak. He clings to the werewolf, trying to calm down so he can catch his breath.

"What th' hell was that? Who are those people?" Brandon would, of course, like to know what's going on.

"I d-dunno," Max stammers, still gasping. "I dunno...th-there was just...j-just shooting, outta n-nowhere." He pauses for a moment to look up at Brandon curiously. "There was m-more than one?"

"I heard at least two voices," Brandon answers. "Can't tell if there's more. ...They're talkin' now," he whispers. Sure enough, voices can be heard echoing down from the outcrop. They sound angry, but what exactly they're talking about can't be understood because of the echo. The acoustics are bad on the flat. Brandon lets out a rather shaky breath. "We needta' get inside."

About this point, Max notices some blood splattered on the snow just past the porch. Was I shot? he wonders, ready to panic as he looks everywhere for a bullet wound. There isn't one. There is, however, blood on his jacket where Brandon was hugging him. He looks up at Brandon, wide-eyed, to see a bloody rip in the right shoulder of the werewolf's jacket. "Y-you're bleeding," he yelps, quivering. It's his fault his boyfriend was shot, he thinks. Makes him feel rather sick.

"Eh?" Brandon asks, looking down at his bloodied shoulder. Oh...thought I smelled blood, he thinks. Well shit. He looks back at Max, who looks like he's about to cry. "Hey, s'alright," he says soothingly, patting the blond. "It doesn't even hurt." He can barely suppress a flinch as the wound does start hurting; he wishes they hadn't noticed it. Why is it that things like this never hurt till you actually look at them? "Maxi, babe, 's'ok," he says as Max starts whimpering. "Really, I don' even feel it." He sighs and hugs the boy again, careful not to further aggravate his now burning shoulder. "We really oughta get inside," he says again.

Lucky for the boys there's a crawlspace under the porch; they use it to get into the house. Being careful to stay away from the windows, they warm up and bandage Brandon's shoulder. It's not a particularly bad injury as the bullet went straight through, but it's just bad enough to make it painful to move his arm.

About this point the villains are revealed. Up on the outcrop, 'Catherine' is complaining about 'that guy' (Brandon) helping the 'damned whelp' (Max), because if it hadn't been for him, the whelp would be dead. 'Whoopi' and the other guy talk to her some, about what I don't remember. Maybe they're trying to calm her down some, saying she'll have another chance to kill him.

A little bit of time passes; I don't remember how long. It's still the same day. Something, I don't know what, happens to 'Whoopi.' She's gone. Then somehow 'Catherine' falls off the outcrop to splatter a bit on the rocks directly left of the house. I think they were going to try to attack the boys directly at the house or something.

**Plothole Alert**

'Catherine' and 'Whoopi's boyfriend' are on the outcrop directly behind the house, having an argument. The only part of the argument I remember was something about the boyfriend stealing 'Catherine's father from her. 'Whoopi' was her father; apparently after meeting the boyfriend he had a sex change. Or something. I don't know. So they argued, it got a little physical, and they both wound up sliding off the outcrop to fly down and splatter at the bottom of the ravine.

**Plothole #2**

Another indefinite amount of time passes, but it's still still the same day. Max comes outside again, I don't know why. As he walks to the side of the house he sees 'Catherine's corpse on the rocks. Looking and feeling rather sick, he turns to go back to the house.

Suddenly, 'Catherine' sits up. To Max's surprise and shock, she doesn't seem too badly injured (how she could come out so well after falling on her face on some bad rocks is beyond me). She snarls something like "C'mere, you little bastard." Or something equally threatening. She pushes herself to her feet, surprisingly mobile after her fall, and staggers over the rocks towards the terrified blond.

Max screams and makes a dash for the house, but he slips and crashes into the snow. He's quite possibly sprained his ankle, as he has trouble getting up and can't put any weight on his left leg. There's also the added problem now of 'Catherine' being between him and his haven. As she continues to threaten and (rather slowly) chase him, Max limps towards the treeline. He has no idea what he hopes to accomplish; he just knows he has to get away. He's so scared now he can barely think anyway.

Ever the scary one, 'Catherine' now runs to close the distance between herself and her prey. She grabs Max's arm and swings him around; the momentum spins her so she lands with her back to a tree. She yanks Max down and pins him against her own body so he can't get away. While she continues to give death threats and Max screams and thrashes, 'Catherine' pulls a knife and attempts to cut him up the left side of his face. She can't seem to cut very deep because of all his thrashing.

Suddenly there's a loud cracking from above. The sound is ignored until a large broken branch swings down -- and plants itself with a rather disgusting 'THOK' in 'Catherine's forehead. After a few twitches her body goes limp; she's really dead this time. Thank GAWD. Max pulls free of her grasp and kind of huddles there, crying. The day's put a bit of a strain on him, physically and emotionally.

This is where the climber comes in. He may have appeared earlier, but I don't remember. The man appears, checking to see that Max isn't too terribly injured and helps him hobble towards the house. About this point Brandon runs out of the house, relieved to see his boyfriend still alive. I'm guessing he must've had trouble getting around, else he'd have been outside much sooner. A plot device was keeping him busy, or something. He takes over as Max's crutch, and the three head back to the house. The conflict is over, and the dream ends. What exactly 'Catherine's beef was with Max isn't revealed.

Somethin else that's strange about this dream, is that at the end, it played just like a movie. Like when the camera lifts up 'n away from the characters, that happened here. Very weird.

Also, I have no idea why the villains looked like movie stars. Very weird. I hadn't even been watchin many movies when I had this dream.
