This just popped into my head while I was showering. Don't mind the oddness, I was washing my hair at the time and I've worked since it came in. Also doesn't help that I'm tired like whoa.

For whatever reason, Becca and Priss are in one of those bath house/hot spring things. So, they're hanging out in the spring then. Randomly, Priss asks "So how hard d'you think it'd be to learn how to manipulate shadow?"
"Why in the world would you want to learn that?" Becca asks.
Priss shrugs. "Sounds like something cool to try."
"You just want to use it to scare people," Becca teases.
"Damn right I do." There's a definite smirk of evil right here. "How hard d'you think it is?"
"Well, you could always ask Livi if she's got any books about it," is her answer.
As if on cue, Livi joins them. She gets an immediate "Hey, know anything about shadow manipulation?" from Priss.
Livi thinks a minute, switching into Scholar Mode™. "Um, from what I've read, which isn't a lot, it's pretty hard."
"There's something you haven't read?" Becca asks, genuinely surprised.
"'S hard to find stuff about it," she answers. "All the books I've read that mention shadow manipulation do just that: mention. I dunno if an actual book about it even exists. Or if one does, I don't have it."
"I thought you had every book ever in that library of yours," Priss says, half-teasing.
"I don't have every book," Livi says, rolling her eyes dramatically. "Aaaaanyway. It's more towards the darker side of magic, so a lot of casters would have trouble learning..." She trails off as she realizes both Becca and Priss are giving her a Look. And then it hits her. She shoots a bit of an 'Oh wait, it's you we're talking about' kind of look at Priss, and gives her a playful smile. "I bet you'll have it down in no time flat."
